Oops, I posted the wrong review – it should be this.
Gallopping beat and uplifting melody, with cool string movement. It’s slightly lofi, which I really enjoy. Really nice rhythm guitar – it really fills things out and makes it all blend together – the guitar was pretty key!

This one IS MY SHIT. I think the mix could use a bit of work, but this one is so good. Not familiar with the source but I may just have to check it out and outright steal your ideas lol. Nah but seriously this is one of my favorites in my 4 month DoD life. Choice of style + instrumentation has me HAD. I been had HAD by this one. Thanks anon. Make a longer version or I will.

Cool synthy bouncy vibe right off the bat. It sounds like a woodwind over the synth? That’s an interesting combination. Cello sounds awesome. I’m wondering how much in this part is live and how much is VSTs. Production on that punk rock part is ON POINT. Very crispy mix. The woodwind could go up a bunch. Small gripe with this one, I think the first half teases me a little too much with the (very rhythmic) synth bass, but it takes a good while to arrive to the meat of the song. I quite enjoy the punk rock vibe of the second half, but then it’s over really quickly. I think you could do a lot more with this arrangement.

Nice synthy start here to really drive this one off. Synth flute (maybe real flute too?) coming in with the melody, before getting complimented by the cello I think? Then with the feel change, nice entry from the guitar and the drums – flute I feel could come out a bit more here though against the louder instruments – its a touched drowned in, though cello cuts through fine. All in all a very fun arrangement anon – but would love the solo instruments balanced a bit more against the backing instruments

I’m a sucker for arpeggios and the combination of distorted guitars and atmospheric, semi-ambient elements. I feel like the latter gets a little messy here and buried under the other elements at times. There’s a lot going on in the mids with all the layers which is probably why.
Woodwinds add a lovely contrast to the synths and guitars. I wish it was longer and developed the elements that are already there a bit more into a longer arrangement.

Nice, synths and flute(?)! Actually I guess it might be some kind of whistle as I listen more. The mix balance is great. Alright so… the guitars sound programmed. Tight, but programmed. Overall, the piece does feel a bit robotic to me due to the programming. Cool tune though – really nice choice of instruments! The whistles are the highlight for sure.

Whistles! This track has a fun mood, the original seems like a happy tune and this take embraces that. A chuggy guitar enters around 1 minute in and gives the track a much needed edge. I love the drum/guitar mixing, it’s very punchy. The mix does get muddy when whistles, guitars and violin are playing at the same time, but not too terrible degrees. I kinda wish there was a bit more to the arrangement, it sounds like 2 repeats, only with one having distortion guitar.
Still though, nice track!

This arrangement is very cute and sweet. I think I mentioned this during the LP chat but I honestly think that the guitars coming in takes the vibe away that I was enjoying so much. Not that they sound bad just a thought. Maybe instead of guitars and drums it could do the Apocalyptica thing? I’d love to hear a version like that – as is it’s very nice!!
Small bit of feedback would be to have the guitars be a little quieter when they join in and turn down the first cello solo a smidgle 🙂
