Ooooh immaculate vibes, that drum sound fits so well with the kind of reggae vibe. Gets very repetitive very quickly though, especially since the melody on the lead plays a ton of constant eighth notes. Transitions are also kinda wonky. I like the overall vibe, but I think you could flesh out this a lot more to really get it going.

Mmmmmm lofi raggae, hell yeah anon. Lead timing is a bit off around :38 – doesn’t quite catch the groove like the rest of the track. Really lean into those staccatos and take those melodic turns more hairpin – might need to tweak the synth settings to quicken the attack on those phrases specifically. That’s the only nitpick I have, performance and programming from the other instruments are solid and the vibe is on point. Great job, anon!

Cool vibe here, though it doesn’t really progress to as many places as I would have liked. It functions well as background/OST music to set a vibe, so outside of the context of a competition, this would certainly work well. The lofi production style works really well and feels intentional, rather than any shortcoming in production quality. I’d love to see a more ambitious arrangement for future entries, but this is good stuff!

Another nice chill track. Definitely could see it as bgm for a game. Arrangement doesn’t really go places so it feels a tad repetitive, which I suppose kinda goes with the vibe that is set here. Is it supposed to be in mono? It’s a nice entry to listen to. The fade out is done well.

There’s some rhythmic disonnance on this track – things aren’t quite lining up together and it’s hard for me to tell if it’s intentional or not. Overall I like the vibe of this a lot, but it’s a bit repetitive for its length.

This track was nice in concept. I don’t know the source but I love it. It would have been nice if it was maybe a little slower. The bass could have used some more low end and the synth was a little too static in the performance and stuck out a little bit more than I think would be appropriate for what i think you were looking to go for.

Cool vibe. Overall track is a bit quiet and the mix is muddy. I think there are lots of details that get missed as a result. The synth swells are nice. The flute synth is the lead instrument throughout the track and I wish other instruments got a turn. Combined with the chords constantly on the backbeat, it makes the track feel same-y. Same with the fadeout – doing any kind of ending would add some variety to the second loop of the main idea.
Cool sounds, nice and simple arrangement. I enjoyed it, and with some attention to the mix and some variety this will be a very cool track.

This one is cute. The percussion sounds are interesting, the lead synth flute is adorable, and there’s a nice groove overall for this one.

Damn, loving this reggae feel. Drums feel a little back in the mix, but I think with the vibe it’s going for that works decently well. Not sure if I quite love the synth tone for the lead, feel like I’d like something a little more mellower than this reed organ – feels a bit too sharp for a laid back feel. Bass is also a touch heavy I feel for this, the rhythmic pattern it’s taking is just right but the volume could be dialed back maybe just a touch. Not sure if the timbales are real or programmed, but they sound excellent. All in all, this is a really smooth and laid back arrangement anon – great job!

I know there’s focus on the feedback on lo-fi and some of the timing hits, but I think it might do a lot of good to play with sound selection. I’ve been bad at this for YEARS, but like, find five presents you like the most that fit the reggae vibe. Then pick between them. Keep doing that for the next instruments as you test them with what you’ve already selected. It’s kinda all about experimenting and adjusting to taste (and reference tracks). Also, play with some of the transitions – the transition at 1:23 feels like a ‘we’re ending the song’ transition, not a ‘we’re moving onto the next section’ transition. Also, at the end, I think one note comes across as the VST still playing. Minor nitpick, I know.
love me a good Reggae still. Hope to hear more Reggae from you in the future!

This has a nice reggae and lofi feel to it. I’m not sure if the main instrument is a synth or a wind instrument, but the performance was just ok, particularly during the solo. Production-wise, not sure of what could be improved, but this sounds a bit bland to me.
