Really nice piano sound. Accordion!! Fuck yeah!!! Another one that just does great vibes so well with good instrumentation, it’s one of those things that really makes you appreciate that DoD live instrument rule. Lots of nice performances. Mix is pretty crystal clear. Lots of great synergy between performers. Absolutely fantastic.

Clair Obscur vibes off the rip, great direction to take this one along! Accordion feels a bit too forward in the mix during the times when it’s not carrying the main lead but that’s a small nitpick. Love instrument combination altogether, another great jam track from this month, anon!

This is 100% authentic to the mixing, style, and performance of a Layton game. If you told me this was an official live track, my only note would be a slight surprise at the use of electric keyboard. Truly excellent work, I’ll be downloading this to listen to later.

This one makes me feel like i’m in a cafe sipping some french press and enjoying a baguette.

I kind of wish the drums were a little bit more present – but otherwise the performances are so good and the arrangement seems super logical.

The peak at 2:00 doesn’t quite hit – I think maybe due to a compressor? hard to tell.

Great vibe to this arrangement, great performances. Drums could use a little more variety in velocities, particularly in the ride cymbal. Really love these solos. Great ending!

Accordion lines mixing together. I like the call and response lines, the breaks, and the repeated background that increase and increase the tension until you let it all go in some nice solo. There are some really great musical conversations between the instruments.

Seph called the Clair Obscur vibes and I agree HARD with that. REALLY tight performances and backing instrumentation, this is stunning y’all. I have no criticisms at all, every one of you (assuming this isn’t just one stupidly talented person pulling this all out of a hat) did your thing <3 I want to go to whatever cafe this is being played at. Hard to see this one not medaling this month.

Apparently this OST calls for accordion and violin? Haha. Very nice. Similar to the last one, the bass is feeling a little big, though not as boomy as the last one. Love how the low note sounds when it hits. Transition at 2:00 is sick. Piano solo into ePiano solo! Awesome. This whole solo section is great actually! Everyone just showing off, haha. And the trading is immaculate. As someone who loves solo battles, the moments they trade feels really creative and inspiring to me!

This is wonderful. Loads of things happening and it all blends together well. Only thing I don’t really like is how the drums are EQ’d, have a clunkier sound than I think fits this track, Especially the hat and ride. But that’s it. It’s a quality entry with some really good performances. Great job

Nice piano and shaker to kick this one off, as well as some nice mark tree to accentuate (but does feel like it hangs on a bit). And two accordions in a row, this is becoming accordion month! Drums are nice and grooving in the background, since they get help from the shakers to drive time a bit. Are those timbales coming in near the 2 minute mark? Sound nice and crisp there. Getting some nice tradeoff in this section between the accordion and the violin here, and then getting some electric piano after that to really take a fun twist (though the solo does start feeling a touch out of time). Very nice and clean ending, great job anon!

I think there could’ve been a little more carving in-between parts to make them each stand out more and a little more variation in the drum playing. I also do feel like the drums are a little too intense(?) at times when they could be more chill, especially to contrast the more intense parts, but this is like, nitpicks of nitpicks. This is FANTASTIC. Especially the Piano and Accordion processing. Definitely curious to hear how you went about that, Anon(s). All of the performances really good Good stuff!

Wow, that accordion! Lots of great performances in the Layton block, it’s just unbelievable. Where did all these talented people come from? I’m having a hard time pegging this entry on any one person, but I loved it. Another jazzy performance that would be amazing to see in person. It’s gonna be hard to pick a favorite among the Layton entries.
