This sounds less like a supermarket and more that I just walked into a rave. The style is so well done though. I can’t really tell what the vocals are doing, but with the style it might be intentional? I honestly love how unique this is. Reverby guitar fits great. It gets a little busy in the second half but it’s nothing crazy. This shit right after the previous track is crazy coordination. Awesome work.

Anon brought out the cowbells, yesssss! Vocal seems to be fighting for space against the synth lead, hard to make out the phrases. Mix feels like it’s asking for some compression to glue everything together – the low end and high end don’t feel like they’re making the groove breathe despite having the right flow. Good track, anon!

Not my personal cup of tea, but definitely evokes “shopping in the rain” and memories of some City Pop.

LOVE THIS! Very vaporwavey, some sort of “wave” genre anyway. To Seph’s comment about the vocals, I didn’t feel like they were TRYING to be super audible, they felt more like chops/accents that may have been custom-made for this track, but that was a highlight for me. Overall very vibey and well-produced for the style.

Love what you did with vocals. Using them as their own instrument rather than the main attraction. I feel this track is like ALMOST there for me. A bit of eq and leveling w some more reverb and I’d be all over this. It’s weird as hell in the best way possible. I want more of this in the future.

This is texture the song! I was bobbing my head the whole way through.
If I had to give some specific critique – I think the soundscape is a little too open – needs some more low-low mids to really get it PUMPIN.
The arrangement and vocal chops are so nice though

This feels like it was made with a very specific goal in mind and that goal was very achieved. It’s hard to pick out any one thing to talk about, it’s just kind of a continuous stream of neat musical ideas. Very nice!

There are some creative things going on here and I dig it. The cut vocal samples, the pitch bendiness, the dragging vibe. It gives off a “weird” vibe but is extremely coherent as a vision. Great production and variety.

This was probably the first DS game I ever played, so this hits close to home. I love this style of electronica. Maybe not so much the lofi treatment, but the distorted vocals remind me of Flume, an artist I’ve been revisiting lately. I like how the guitar was integrated, put it’s perhaps too sparse and hidden. I would have loved a guitar-driven segment in the middle to make this stand out more and make it more dramatic. As it is, it’s all vibes and atmosphere, which I still love.

Cool vibe! I am curious what’s live here. Oh, there’s an EG around one minute! Nevermind.
If I’m meant to hear the words from the vocal (samples?), I cannot. They need some clarity added and mud subtracted. Take out low mids and add some 3-5k if that’s your goal.
Alright I know this is a genre thing, but I do not like hearing fake record pops. They are distracting. Sorry anon. XD
I feel the drum pattern is same throughout much of the track so it feels unvaried to me. Cool soundscape though!

not diging to it too much, sorry this is just my personal taste but
the sound quality is awesome and vocal fx too, is this a real marimba?

Nice kinda pop-py feel to get this rolling off. Definitely enjoying the cowbells (or maybe actually temple blocks?) in the background, but they do feel a touch dead/muted (volume/feel would make more sense if they are temple blocks since they don’t ring as much). Vocals are a nice touch, but they feel pretty muted underneath the synth sounds. Nice clean guitar sounds, but again given it is a lead voice I feel it could come forward a bit more. Like the instrument driving around 2:30 or so, but between the lead instrument and the vocals it does start to feel a touch cluttered, not sure what I should be putting my focus into. Ending feels a touch abrupt too. Overall, a lot of great ideas in this one – just didn’t feel fully cohesive at times to me

what in the vaporwave is this? I think it could’ve been pushed up a lil louder, but the biggest thing I’m thinking is that it could’ve used more low end in the bass. Bass gets a little buried and feels a little wide(?) with all the chaos going on. definitely can’t say I’ve heard anything like this on DoD before. Not for everyone, but I dug it.
